Casentino Barchetta Coat
Description
Casentino was first woven in the middle ages for Franciscan friars’ cowls and the blankets for animals due to its durability, strength and water repellency. It became fashionable and sought after by Italian noblemen due to it's unique aesthetic. The texture of the fabric and the rich brown colour, cut in our signature barchetta style, make a great casual coat that can dress down a suit or dress up a pair of jeans.
Featuring a functioning half belt in the back which can be tightened - this prevents the front from overlapping, ideal to show off one's finery underneath during a "passeggiata" (Italian for a stroll - which of course in Italian means so much more than just a stroll).
Made of pure Italian Casentino wool, outside of Porto, Portugal.
